Sports/Activities

The Gramon Family sports programs continue to expand and provide our student body with all the opportunities to participate in sports of their interest.  Combining the support of our dynamic staff and coaches, we have continued to explore new opportunities to support our students’ self-esteem and confidence.

The Gramon Family of Schools basketball program is one of most collaborative and enthusiastic sports programs that we offer.  The GFS Knights is an intramural basketball program that takes place during the winter months.  Games are attended by family members, staff and students and help provide an environment that is energetic, supportive, and fun.  This all provides to boost the confidence and self-esteem of our student athletes and gives them their moments to shine!  Recently, our Knights’ basketball program won an award for innovation from the ASAH organization.  The support of our Physical Therapy and Physical Education departments as well as, the support of our outstanding paraprofessionals really make this a wonderful experience for all involved!

Cheerleading

The Gramon Family is so incredibly proud of how much our cheering and baton twirling program has grown in recent years.  With the guidance and support of our Physical Therapy and Speech departments, we have established a collaborative, fun, dynamic program for students to perform at our sporting events. Complete with baton twirling, music routines, and accompanied by our drum-line, GFS cheerleading is not to be missed!

The Gramon Family of Schools has also established a Track and Field program which helps to support health, wellness and physical activity in our student body.  Having the opportunity for students to participate in athletics not only enhances their physical fitness but also increases their self-esteem.  The Gramon Family of Schools continues to participate in local Special Olympics events which again help to increase our students' confidence and provide great opportunities to generalize physical education skills in competitive settings.
