"You cannot educate a child who is not healthy, and you cannot keep a child healthy who is not educated." US Surgeon General Jocelyn Elders, MD
Our school health office is dedicated to promoting optimal physical and emotional health for all students, their families, and our community. Through a developmentally responsive approach to students, we promote health and safety including a healthy environment; provide an intervention with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and through active collaboration with others, we seek to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning (NASN, 2010).
