"You cannot educate a child who is not healthy, and you cannot keep a child healthy who is not educated." US Surgeon General Jocelyn Elders, MD
Our school health office is dedicated to promoting optimal physical and emotional health for all students, their families, and our community. Through a developmentally responsive approach to students, we promote health and safety including a healthy environment; provide intervention with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and through active collaboration with others we seek to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy and learning (NASN, 2010).

Meet Your Nurses
Vanessa Coppola, RN, CSN
It is an honor and a privilege to be your School Nurse at the Gramon Family of Schools. My goal is to provide our students with comprehensive health care services in a holistic manner, to help them succeed within the school environment and at home. Servicing the specific care and interest of special needs and medically fragile children is truly a calling for me, and I am so pleased to have the opportunity to serve our students in this manner.
Natalie Pierro, RN
If your child suffers from winter nosebleeds, try using a cold air humidifier in the child's room at night. Saline nose drops or petrolatum may help keep nasal tissues moist. If bleeding is severe or recurrent, consult your pediatrician.
