The Gramon School serves students with Developmental Disabilities ages 14 to 21 focusing on High School education and Transition services. The Gramon School is a part of The Gramon Family of Schools located in Fairfield, New Jersey which also includes Glenview Academy and the New Beginnings School. Our mission at The Gramon School is to provide our students with the tools they need to be as independent and successful as possible for what lies ahead on their post 21 journey, whether it is college, a day program, or residential living. The Gramon School offers a full range of academic subjects focusing on functional applications for students to utilize at home and in their communities. Student assessments and individual student profiles drive the course of instruction for each student. Every student has a team of exceptional professionals including the classroom teacher and assistants; speech, physical and occupational therapists; behaviorists; and social workers. This team collaborates to connect the classroom to the real world with a range of educational and social experiences that take place on-site as well as in the community. The Gramon School students experience transition services through community-based instruction as well as Structured Learning Experiences (SLE) in the community, and job locations located across our campus of schools. The Gramon School is a Middle States accredited organization that stays abreast of current research in the field and strives to always incorporate best practices in education.
