Preschool
Upon a preschool student’s entry into the program, it is imperative that the faculty working with the student use pairing to ensure trust between the child and the staff member. Pairing is pivotal to the relationship building that is required to successfully transition into the program and thrive. Play based learning, a language-rich environment and sensory integration are integral components to our preschool program. Combined with our related service team members, teachers plan for lessons and programming that are fun and engaging while emphasizing critical components for communication and self-help skills
Elementary
New Beginnings Elementary programming aims to build off the foundations of learning established at the younger grade levels. When appropriate, students begin to learn in dyads and triads combined with their individualized programming. This helps to foster not only skills learned in isolation but also develop core social skills. The establishment of positive behavioral supports paired with interactive academic lessons, strong emphasis on self-help and adaptive skills helps students begin to develop confidence and self-esteem much needed at the elementary level
High School
New Beginnings High School programming allows students to develop skills in settings that closely mirror real-world environments, enhancing their ability to transfer learning across various situations. Carefully tailored based on assessments and individualized profiles. Our team of highly skilled professionals—including educators, paraprofessionals, speech, physical, and occupational therapists, behaviorists, guidance counselors, and social workers—works collaboratively to bridge classroom learning with meaningful real-world experiences.
